About the AuthorBorn and raised in the Mid-West, Mary Anne Morefield now writes from Pennsylvania, Arizona and New York.
She is an alumna of Wellesley College. She holds the M. Div. from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA and a D. Min. from Boston University School of Theology.
She was an organic farmer who lived on an 18th century farm, delivered brown eggs to her friends, made goats milk yogurt for her family, and rode her horse through the countryside.
She served as a parish pastor and as Chaplain of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Now retired, she spends the summer at Chautauqua Institution among its active literary arts community.
She is a member of the Seminary Ridge Foundation in Gettysburg, PA which oversees the Seminary Ridge Museum.
Her work has been accepted at various journals including Poet Lore, Poetry East, Atlanta Review, The MacGuffin and Chautauqua.
Mary Anne's poem, Requiem, will be set to music for the Susquehanna Chorale in 2015 by Bob Chilcott.
